How do I assign premium pay to a work schedule?

Define premium pay for specific working hours in a work schedule

Premium pay is additional compensation paid on top of regular pay for specific working hours or conditions. It compensates for unusual or demanding working hours and is often regulated in collective agreements or company policies.

What types of premium pay are available?

  • Overtime premium pay: Premium pay when daily or weekly regular working hours are exceeded.
  • Time-period premium pay: Night premium pay, Sunday premium pay, public holiday premium pay.

Available premium pay rates: 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.

Add premium pay to a work schedule

Info: Premium pay can only be set in a work schedule with expected hours.

  1. Navigate to Company > Work Schedules in the side menu.
  2. Select an existing work schedule with expected hours or create a new one.
  3. Open the Premium pay tab.
  4. Click the three-dot menu on the desired working day and select Edit.
  5. Enter the time range (from–to) and select the time period type (working time or non-working time).
  6. Click Add premium pay to set a premium pay rate (25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%) for the respective time range.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Save when you have finished defining the working day.

Repeat steps four to eight for each working day if the premium pay and working hours differ.

Tip: Click Assign to multiple days in the three-dot menu to copy the premium pay and working hours directly to multiple days.

Info: Time periods that you do not define as working time or with premium pay are automatically classified as Non-working time. Recorded time during Non-working time is not included in the timesheet report.

Click Save at the bottom right once you have defined all working days with premium pay.
