How do I change profile settings?

Edit another user's profile

  1. Navigate to Company > Users in the side menu.
  2. Select the user whose settings you want to edit.
  3. Click on the profile to open it.

Edit your own profile

  1. Open the drop-down menu at the top right next to your initials.
  2. Click My Profile.

In the Profile tab, you can edit account information, personal information, and contact information.

Edit account information

Under Account information, you can update the following:

  • Email or username
  • Language
  • TimeTac start date

Change login details

Enter the new email or username in the respective field and click Save.

Switch from username to email

You can change a TimeTac login from a username to an email address.

Warning: Once you switch to an email-based login, you cannot revert to using a username.

Edit personal information

Under Personal information, you can update the following:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Date of birth
  • Social security number

Select the field, enter the new information, and click Save.

Edit contact information

Under Contact information, you can update the following:

  • Work phone number
  • Mobile number
  • Address (Street, City, Postal code)
  • Country

Select the field, enter the new information, and click Save.

Manage permissions

Under Permissions, you can assign roles and manage account ownership.

  • Assigned role: Select Standard, Management, or Administration from the drop-down menu.
  • Account ownership: Enable the checkbox to designate the user as an Account owner.

In addition to profile settings, you can configure further settings for a user in the following tabs:

Employment settings

In the Employment tab, you manage work schedules, break policies, overtime policies, departments, time requests and rates. Detailed instructions can be found in the related help articles:

Absence settings

In the Absences tab, you manage public holiday calendars and leave entitlement. Detailed instructions can be found in the related help articles:

Password

In the Password tab, you can reset or change a user's password.

Quicktrack

In the Quicktrack tab, you can set up quick time tracking for a user.
