How can I track time?
With TimeTac, you can track your working and break times quickly and easily. This article explains how to track time and attendance.
You can track time in the following ways:
1. Live time tracking
2. Postdated time tracking
This is how you can create timestamps:
Live time tracking
1You will find the live time tracking option at the bottom left of the window.
2Click on the arrow pointing downwards next to No current time tracking to open the task selection menu.
3Click on the desired task (e.g. General task) and time tracking for this task starts. You will now see the duration of the timestap, just like a stopwatch.
4If you want to take a break, click on the coffee cup symbol. This stops the previous timer and starts the time tracking for Break.
5To continue your work after the break, click on the Play button. This will end the break; time tracking will start to run for the previously tracked task.
6If you want to continue with a different task, then the last one you selected, click on the down arrow to the right of Break to select and start a different task.
7Click on Stop at the end of your working day — this stops the current timer, and you are clocked out for this day.
Postdated time tracking
1Go to the left side menu Timer. There you will find a calendar view and a list showing you all the timestamps you have already made.
2In the calendar view, click on the desired day and time.
3Create Timer will open.
4Now you have to select the task for the chosen time.
5If required, you can also adjust the date and the start and end time of the timestamp.
6You can optionally enter a comment on the timestamp in the notes section.
7Once you have filled all the required fields, confirm by clicking on Create Timer.
This allows you to track times retrospectively.
